 The Young Affiliates of the Mint is a group of diverse young professionals who promote and support the Mint Museum of Art and the Mint Museum of Craft and Design through educational, volunteer, leadership and social opportunities. Started in 1990, the Young Affiliates serve as the premier social arts organization for young professionals in the Charlotte area.

Fri, May 16th will be the next Mint After 5 event. Always a popular event with members, the Mint After 5 series takes advantage of the beautiful Carolina weather during the fall and spring with outdoor receptions on The Mint Museum of Craft + Design’s rooftop balcony. Mint After 5 provides some after-work R&R the third Friday in April, May, June and September. Featuring live music, food from top area restaurants, cash bar and the towering skyscrapers of downtown Charlotte, it’s easy to understand why this series is so well attended. Photos by Amber.
